Loving the Arbites, and the conversions are perfect! I remember desperately wanting to mail order the Arbites models from the back of White Dwarf decades ago....... never got around to getting any though.

Glad you like the Arbites folks! I've now finished all my planned models for my Arbites (although I'll be continuing to use them in a Necromunda campaign over the next couple of months).

So I'm back on with the Chaos Renegade warband I'm making for Rogue Trader. You'll have seen the rogue Inquisitor and ratlings a few pages back, but I've made a start on my unit of 6 beastmen armed with autoguns.

Gaxt (on the left) is unmodified, but the other two are converted. The middle guy has a beastman head and legs put onto a classic Rogue Trader Imperial Guardsman. The one on the right is an actual RT beastman that I've militarised by adding the gun, shorts, shoulder pad, harness and various pouches.

More words and pics over at my blog.

Very nice! I always thought it was a real shame that Beastmen appeared to loose their imperial citizen status at some point after Epic Space Marine.

As ever, some lovely work there.

I always thought it was a real shame that Beastmen appeared to loose their imperial citizen status at some point after Epic Space Marine.

They've regained acknowledgement of their Imperial status in Blackstone Fortress.  Although the Beastmen in the set have fallen to chaos, it notes that they are a stable(ish) abhuman species who are treated as Imperial citizens, albeit very heavily discriminated against (which often drives them to rebellion).  They've also pretty much doubled in size now.

Very nice conversions (yet again)  8)

I have a small squad of the old monopose plastic beastmen, converted into 40K ones, with guns, chainswords etc.

That started out with two I did during a conversion clinic at Poldercon a few years back. And I liked the result so much, I decided to do up more to make a proper squad.

But considering the base material of mine,  which was not all that detailed to begin with, yours look a lot better. Especially with that great paintjob!

Keep 'em coming  ;)
Miniatures you say? Well I too, like to live dangerously...

Cracking work, mate.

The Abhumans have all been badly treated by the 40K universe since those early days.

Thanks all! I wasn't aware that beastmen had come back into Blackstone Fortress- a nice tidbit Genghis.

Using plastic beastmen is a great option - I had some plastic Catachan+beastmen mash-ups myself a few years back.

I'm on a bit of a roll with these beastmen, so here's three more!

All converted by adding beastmen heads and legs to Rogue Trader figures. There's pics of the unpainted conversions and more details over at my blog.
