A fun and unexpected project that I put together to participate in the #justiceforgary painting challenge over at the Oldhammer Facebook group. The premise was to paint models sculpted by Gary Morley. I decided to cut up six Gary Morley sculpts to make two cool new characters - a Necromundan bounty hunter and his caryatid companion :)

More words and pics over at my blog.

Fab vision and execution.

Any idea of what you’re going to do with all the dismembered remnants?

Thanks very much! Not sure on the left-over parts yet. There's bound to be a suitable future project they'll get used for!

Both nice, but I love the companion struggling with the
obviously heavy load.

Outstanding conversions.

I was once told I was going to hell for cutting up som old Squat ManOwar ships to use in my Epic Ork army. It is nice to know I will be in good company because you are definitely going with me cutting up cool old school models like that.

Thanks folks!

@Dr Zombie - I find reactions to conversions interesting. Some people have a real issue with it. I generally work on the basis that I enjoy converting, they're my figures and I can do what I like with them! There are plenty of folks like us that are happy with it though :)

Those are cracking conversions, to look at the finished figures, you'd assume they were the original sculpts as is - nicely done.

Great job done here. And to be certain, this was some kind of Oldhammer potlach, wasn’t it?  lol

Excellent conversions both  8)

I have to echo the remark that if one doesn't know better, these could be original figures!

I like the colour choices on the sniper too btw...  :)
Miniatures you say? Well I too, like to live dangerously...

They're great.
And exactly what I love about this place.

These are spectacular! The bounty hunter is one super cool character, but the caryatid is simply ingenious. The gretchin/snotling body with human head opens up so many possibilities for similar conversions - but these, as ever, have been realised to perfection.

Crème de la crème!
