I was thinking of Tanglebones from the EC range.

Here's the latest addition to this little grouping, Professor Barossus, the Marcisa's personal tutor:





The Professor is a 1985 Citadel Fighter. I removed a bow from his left side and covered up the quiver. To tech him up a bit, he got a couple of minor doo-dads from the new plastic Skitarii kit. After painting him, I decided he needed a mobile blackboard of sorts, hence the little servo-skull with holo-board display

I've painted a real mix of stuff over the last week - some of which in a hotel room as I was away for part of last week with work.

First up, some long awaited and overdue scatter terrain:


Then the scientist model from Citadel's Talisman range, to accompany my tech priest from a few weeks ago:


Then a space pirate as part of my contribution to the Oldhammer Legacy Warband project:


Finally an old figure from Citadel's Paranoia range, which I intend to use as an ammo trader:




No real direction or purpose with these, but I've enjoyed painting them

Damn genius on your part if you ask me. The group works perfectly and that holo blackboard is absolutely fab! Going to have to steal that idea...

I have often looked at those Paranoia figures and chuckled but never thought of a way including the more zany into 40k.
Arms Trader=Genius.
 

I have some Guards that I will be utilising at some point later, though.

I have often looked at those Paranoia figures and chuckled but never thought of a way including the more zany into 40k.

Glad you like them Mason The Paranoia figures are fun - there's several that could be used in 40k without looking jarring at all, and others which might fit a particular setting / narrative. Like you, I have some of the guards that I plan to use as some sort of local law enforcement at some point.
