Hello from Ohio
« on: 06 August 2008, 03:52:05 PM »
Hello from Ohio! My name's Andy, I'm 37 and I recently started painting/modeling again. About 2 years ago I started a 1st edition Dungeons and Dragons campaign, now I need new and interesting figures to paint for use with my game. Ok, that's an excuse, I just want more toys.  :D

I used to paint old Ral Partha figs (1977-1990) and for a time I painted a lot of the GW Warhammer/Warhammer40k figs. Now I'm looking for new things to paint - which is how I found this website. I'm hoping to get my hands on some of the western themed figures, possibly some of the 'adventure' genre figs I've seen. Steam carriages and flying boats sound neat too!

Also: If anyone knows where I can score vintage Ral Partha figures (1977-1980ish) or Superior miniatures from the same era, please shoot me a message.

Thanks!

Andy

Welcome aboard. Besides Ebay you might see if Iron Wind Metals has some of the figs you may be after:

Hopefully some steeped in miniatures business lore can tell you if any of those Ral partha lines are still in production if Iron Wind isn't doing it.
