Superb  :-* :-* :-*

This is going to be a belter of a game  8)

Can I ask how many layers you use for each colour as there's a real depth there.

This could be one of the best painting projects I've ever seen. Absolutely hilarious and beautifully painted.  lol :-*

What an amazing project. Have to admit I was hoping Josephine was next for the pot though. Never been fond of poodles........  ;)

Thanks for all your nice comments, chaps!

It's just the usual three layers technique from dark to light. And I don't undercoat black or white but a light brown followed by a heavy sepia ink wash. Maybe that adds to some depth.

IMHO, the only thing missing is a grenadier flash on the back of his apron.

I think that must be it then  8)

Might be worth a try then  :)

Stunning work, Michael!  :o

I'm really glad to belong to the happy few who'll see the finished vignette rather early in person.   ;)

Cheers

Finally I've based all items on a 5 mm plastic base and decorated the ground with some static grass, grass tufts and some small plants. So here is the finished vignette:

And now three last pictures how it all started. This one shows the first setup after trying various parts and bits, and as I liked this buildup and it was also just not too large for a vignette I finished adding more larger items.

This is my box holding very small items, most of them from Historex and Phoenix. Although they are scaled for 54 mm figures, most of them work pretty good with 28 mm.

The last one shows all prepared but unpainted items and I've included all the manufacturers names:

I had great fun working on this little project. Now I'm back into studies about the prussian system of army provisions. Didn't they have a Wurstwagen ...?  ;D
