Next year will quite likely see lots of Waterloo-themed games around the shows, and our club's new game will be among them. Usually we have some special little vignettes around showing exceptional occurrences or unexplored historical areas, so timely I went into research to solve the mystery how the frenchies (for a start ...) managed to feed their huge armies properly. It wasn't for long to find some stunning insights: fast food stalls are not a 20th century invention! I'll show you how the napoleonic maintenance organized simple components to establish proper provisioning of their troops:

What do we need first? Correct, the basic food supply. In this case - as we all know - huge amounts of well-fed frogs and, for the seafood lovers, lobsters!

And, as you can't have too much choice, some more basic food and groceries like eels, potatoes, onions and other barrel stored stuff, and a large bowl containing freshly prepared frog's legs; as the french say: "cuisse de grenouille". Yes, that sounds tasty ...

Next we need a heavy table to prepare all the delicacies, offering some seasonings, a bottle of wine of course and some plates and cutlery:

A single bottle of wine won't do - it's the french army! - so for the refill we get a large wine cask on a hardwood frame and last but nor least some nice cooking pots:

Next time you'll learn something about early advertising measures, advanced cooking technologies and the professional staff working those fast food stalls. Till then - enjoy!

No fastfood chain without professional advertising. In our case is must be visible over a long distance (battlefield!) and needs a clear iconic sign showing instantly what kind of takeaway would be located here. So we have the long distance piece here ...

... and the iconic sign here:

A good fire place is indispensable, so there is this tripod over a campfire:

And now to the single most important person, the bedrock of any quality takeaway - the chef de cuisine:

As you see, we could engage the maitre himself with all his important tools of the trade, and even better, he is accompanied by his lovely companion and sentry, the poodle Josephine!

All is needed now is bringing it all together, so please hold on!
