alternatives to Machine Guns
« on: August 12, 2014, 05:37:02 PM »
okay, what if instead of a machine gun (Maxim quality) one fielded a Gardner or Gatling gun?

I have some legacy 25 mm versions of both and was wondering if they should use the Machine Gun statistics or should they use differing statistics?

Gracias,

Glenn

I use machine gun stats for my Nordenfelt gun.

Keeps it simple that way :)

They may be slightly less accurate or have slightly less range (black powder vs smokeless powder)

In IHMN we provided what are really weapon templates rather than exact weapons. Thus you could use the Gardner, Gatling or Nordenfeldt as a Machine Gun.

Weapon development was so rapid at the time we felt that it was easier to represent weapons as a type rather than get into all the little differences between a Martini-Henry, and Lee-Metford and a Short Magazine Lee-Enfield.
