I love them!! What size bases are you using? I am slowly building an 1861 project.

Thank you! :) The figures are 28mm with 2 to a base on 40mm wide x 20mm depth as RF&F requires a very high base count. So far using 15mm scale for the board and measurements has worked out a real treat.

Wonderful! My congratulations on such a splendid job, sir! The 11th NY has been on my list for quite a while as well. These pictures make them move up on the list considerably.

Lovely brush work.
That's big unit that will look great on the table.
Below is a link to my blog. It's the place where I write uninteresting things about little toy soldiers. I do this because I refuse to grow up and behave like an adult.

A really fine looking unit.
I love the look of 28mm units for the Civil War.
I also enjoyed looking over your blog.
Lots of cool stuff.

So, in RFF, would this unit usually fight too ranks deep? I am familiar with Brigade Fire and Fury, but not it's off spring.

Yes, two ranks is the standard formation because you can fire from both ranks and receive a combat bonus, but you can also extend into single line when needed to cover more ground and makes you a little harder to hit in some situations.

Note: Mine are shown 3 ranks deep, but that's simply to fit everyone in the picture.

Very nicely done. I found a GGGrandfather born in 1861 that they named 'Elmer Ellsworth' and the name carried down to my grandfather.

Very nice work. I believe Footsore Miniatures have got some 1861 stuff coming out soon and I am looking forward to getting my hands on them
