Dad has been threatening us with a new Egyptian campaign!

They are very nice, and many of the sculpts/themes are not found in any other range.

I've had my eye on them, but even with a buy six get two free they are on the pricey side.

I'll eventually break down and get them...

Wow, some of those are very nice.  I'm sure I will break down and buy a couple of those at some point.  Once I get some spare cash I'll see if my flgs can order those Arab diggers.

Excellent saw a few in Sheffield earlier in the year, but that is quite a nice range there.

Incidentally, does anyone know what the first Arab digger from the left is holding in his right hand?

I'm not trying to be a contrarian, but these are not doing it for me. I would never suspect those are from Tim Prow. His current Reaper work is far superior. The faces and heads often look quite odd, reminding me of the badly sculpted Black Tree Design WWII figures done by the fellow hired to complete the range cheaply. (Maybe it was Prow back in the day?) I remember these figures and the Victorians were derided when first released. Not worth the price IMO. Many other better choices out there. YMMV.

I'd agree the guns look awful and the poses are worse on some of prows stuff.

I agree they're not the greatest sculpts I think there are much worse out there in Foundry land and I imagine with a decent paintjob they will look ok.

5 figures for £12 doesn't seem so bad for Pulp minis.

That's $4 a figure for me.  Not too bad.  Honestly the diggers are the only ones I need.

I ordered a few packs from this range a couple days ago. The arab bearers and diggers will be useful, I passed on a few other things because the sculpting was a little too odd to bother with painting.
