Fallout Robobrain - second one finished *05 oct 2014*
« on: October 02, 2014, 11:31:11 AM »
Finaly started modelling and painting again after some 3 months of inactivity (besides assembling cardboard scenery)
I started with Brother Vinni's Cyborg Crawler and drilled, milled and sanded the collar to give it a more Fallout 3 appearance.
"head" was scratchbuild with styrene sheet and a hollow dome. The brain is a copy of a Horrorclix Brain Eater (Gédéo siligum + GS).
I painted this one in standard Army colors (I know, the base between the tracks should've been black not green) and have a second one waiting to get some Outcast colors slappend onto.

This is the end result :

NICE! Really like how you did the brain and half-dome 8)

Really nice mate, well done. Mine won't be with a clear dome, just painted to look like one. I have to pick them up at Crisis first though :D

If you're interested, I have a surplus dome and brain and styrene (I punch those discs myself), so basicly 1 head for a robobrain.
Unfortunatly I won't attend Crisis myself (planned my surgery 2 weeks to early :?), but my mates (The Red Barons) will be gaming there. Pretty sure they won't mind handing that over.

I got mine from an Arts & Crafts store here in Belgium called Schleiper.
However, I had started a thread in the workbench in which you'll find several links provided by other members that'll probably suit you more :

Completed the second mini as a Brotherhood Outcasts model.
The whole dark grey/red color scheme doesn't bring out the details as well as the army type, but all in all I'm happy with it.

I think you did what all of us are planning to do with those minis. And you did a great job out of it! :)
