Heroes In A Half Shell
« on: November 17, 2014, 08:00:38 PM »
I loved TMNT as a kid, back before they made more kid friendly.  I thought I would give them a go (all red bandanas, prior to changing the colors so the kids knew which turtle was which!)  These came from the Greebo minis kickstarter, and were fun (but tough) to paint.

Thanks for looking!

They are balls of rice, wrapped in a twisted strip of cloth. Medieval Japanese soldiers often carried their rations like that.

And no, I have no idea how he can wrap a pizza into that....  :D

Tiger Hunter in The Water Margin used to wear a string of black balls around his neck.  They were about the same size as the ones on the figure

Bottom right

I saw these too late Jay, they are pretty cool figures. You've done an amazing job on them as well.

I wish they had a webstore somewhere...

Thank you very much for all of the kind words!

Looks like the black balls that Tiger Hunter has around his neck may be the winner!!!  Although, could be 'pizza balls' too  :)

Thanks very much!  They are probably slightly smaller than 28mm?  Perfect in my opinion.  I dont have a picture, but they scale nicely with Crossover's ninjas.
