Thanks for all the info mate!
It's not really easy to find reliable sources on the Soviet kit, I guess I'll have to invest and buy a proper book..
'Enemy At The Gates' and an old box of toy soldiers are admittedly not the best sources

I am in the process of changing the coats to khaki..fits in much better with my other troops anyways

Can I ask which pigment/brand it is you use on the helmets? It creates a really nice effect!
