My Lion Rampant (and Saga) stuff

I have put the WotR aside for a while to paint some Vikings that I bought a few years ago. I painted a few of them quite badly before getting fed up with the project so this week they all went into the Dettol for a strip and re-paint. All Gripping Beast plastic Viking Hirdmen on Warbases 20mm bases and tray.

Made a grub hut to go with them this week, using a Warbases MDF kit.

Looking good. In particular I like your hut. What did you use to cover the walls and what is the roofing material?

I noticed these on the warbases website and I might get a couple myself.

Thanks. The walls are covered in bog standard ready-mixed filler, the sort of stuff you cover wall cracks with. I got a big tub of the stuff from the local DIY store (B&Q) for a few pounds, the cheaper the better for this purpose. The thatch is an old face flannel PVA glued on and then soaked in gesso. I like the idea of the Dark Age Warriors box but I am with you on the slingers, some archers wouldn't have gone amiss.

Fabulous work. Where did you find the designs for the shields? Did you base them off the transfers?
