Armies galore.
« on: 21 December 2014, 03:02:22 PM »
I am currently awaiting a four month trip away and have packed up all my hobby stuff in preparation... which is a complete pain because I am now bored. As a result, I have been taking pix of my little armies... so first we have Grymn Tunnel Fighters:

Next we have some Grymn in DPM camouflage:

and some Grymn in desert kit (my first ever Grymn :) ):

Followed by some more specialist units (including an inquisitor, some judges, some stormtroopers and some HALO spartans):

Of course, if tougher troops are needed, you could always revert to some powered armour and mechanised units:

And when the Grymn are too precious to send into battle, why not send in the Beetlebots?:

But it isn't always about Grymn... sometimes the enemy arrives...

I just thought I'd share :)

Whoa -  Very nice. And inspiring.

Maybe need a separate thread where people can post pix of their complete armies?

Holy crap - are you singlehandedly keeping Kev in business?

Beautiful!  And I thought the 13 Grymn I have (and finally started painting after I found them - 3 years later) was a bunch.

I agree that there should be an army showcase on here... it would be fun to see what everyone has actually managed to finish :0

I wouldn't say that I kept HF alive... but a few years back, I certainly did my part :D!

I am a complete Grymn fan and as Kev is the only one who makes them, what choice have I got?

On the plus side, I have more Grymn painted, than I have unpainted... although, I still have many that are unpainted (but planned into the big scheme of things).

I reckon the next army posted will be... alien...  :D

I've always admired your grim (see what I did there?!  :D) determination in following through this project.  The culmination of years of work.  IIRC these are for display not play and to some extent are based on British orbats?
My LAF Gallery is HERE
Minis (foot & mounted) finished in 2025 = 74
(2024 = 38; 2023 = 151; 2022 = 204; 2021 = 123; 2020 = ???)

A fabulous collection, anyone would think you like grimm ;D

As for armies I think anyone would struggle to match yours, I thought my quar were looking reasonable but they are a mere skirmish force by comparison 8) bio
