Looking for sources of DESTINY lookalike figures
« on: January 23, 2015, 01:24:31 PM »
(I hope this posted in the correct place)

My son is addicted to a computer/game console game called DESTINY.  His wife wants me to make him a diorama of the figures in the game but I have no idea where to get the figures.  I suppose I'm looking at 28-54mm sized figures.

This is not my period nor have I played the game but I have looked on Google to see the sort of thing that I need to make so any suggestions and ideas welcome.

There was a thread on here, with suggestions for the different player characters, when the game was first released.

I think commander vyper may have started it.

Do a search of this board and see if you can dig it up.

Good luck

The Infinity Nomad faction's Reverend Custodiers and Sin-Eater Observants look spot-on, to me.

CP models has a few Sci-Fi hired guns that look good.

Wreck Age's Reclaimer faction looks like a pretty good match, IMO.

Some of the rebels from Mantic's Deadzone might work.

Sorry, I don't have links handy, but a quick google search should turn all of those up.

I would second the Infinity minis.
Was thinking once to start a Destiny Project myself and in my eyes a lot of the Infinity minis are an excellent startingpoint for that  :)

Yes i did. Very little added but worth looking at. I was looking to see whether I'd taken a picture when i finished the Titan Proxy. I'll try to take a pic tonight but it'll be posted on my thread. ;)

Trent have some 28mm SF types that might suit (the only stockist I'm aware of is North Star)
Gary, Glynis, and Alasdair (there are three of us, but we are too mean to have more than one login)

Halo clix might be worth a look as a base, as the armour styles (both bein designed by the same company) are fairly similar - I started knocking together a conversion when the beta was out that I never got round to doing anything with...
