28mm Old Crow sci fi vehicles.
« on: February 01, 2015, 05:01:23 AM »
Hey folks,

Just posted some pics of my Old Crow Models. Lovely casting and great detail on these kits. I wish he was back in full production, though I understand you can still get these. I loved the way they are molded and the material is great. Smooth, bubble free, and tough. They painted up really well, though I ended up with the paint being too thick on the IFV because I changed my mind about the color a few times and just painted over it.

Good stuff if you can get them.

These are part of my Pig Iron minis forces. The tank and IFV are for the Kolony Militia and the trucks and converted mining suit from AT-43 go with the Ferals.

More pics on the blog of course.

Nice work. I like the Robogear harpoon on the Dust Kolossus.

Nice work!
The mining suit is my favourite.
 :-*

Glad I kept a few Kollosus for myself as I think I shall be stealing that idea sometime.

Is that what that is? I didn't know where it was from. A friend of mine gave me that and a las cannon looking thing. I have enough to outfit one more Kollosuss. They are really neat little walkers. I use most of the ones I've acquired for my Weird WWII Soviets.

Yep, it's a robogear weapon.  The not-lascannon is probably robogear as well.  The robogear is a bit hit and miss, but they're nice and cheap and easy to modify.  I use them for light mechs in my 28mm Mech Attack games.

Lodge 43, Lancaster PA here.

I am out in Hockessin every couple of years seeing family, I recently joined my local lodge here in the UK. I wonder if I would be able to pop along next time I am out that way.

Lovely job on the models btw  :)

Thanks! We just had a brother from the UK retire in the US and he joined our lodge. It was really interesting learning the differences between US and UK freemasonry. I was disappointed to learn that the UK brothers drink and gather socially a lot more than we do here. He was shocked that our lodge didn't have a pub  ;D

If you're ever in PA, let me know. I'm sure we could arrange a visit to the lodge. I think I'm behind on my dues though... so mote it be :)

I'll put a petition for a pub at the next stated meeting. PA was founded by Quakers so we have these archaic liquor laws...

Definitely get in touch if you come over. We have a great game club with a bar. :D

There are some pics on my blog about it.
