Before seeing your paint on that figure I thought it was OK. Now I need it. Thanks Agis.
It would look lovely next to the Reaper Chronoscope Metropolis robot too. You can't have too many female protocol droids.

I just went back for another look and noticed the base for the first time.... ::)
It looks great.
 8) 8)

How was that cracked effect achieved?
I suspect a particular type of paint effect, but gotta ask to find out.

The base effect is indeed 3d and not painted.
It is the new GW Technicla paint " Martian Ironearth ".
You just apply it and let it dry over night.
DONE!

It is then dried in a martian red tone, there fore I gave it a sandy drybrush.

I had my suspicions that that was the culprit, but never having seen it happen I was not sure.
Now I am, and shall have to grab some.

Cheers!

Incredible painting from Agis as per usual. I like the idea of chopping the trooper to make a new pose - I may try that with mine, but to be honest I don't mind the monopose figures.

She-Threepio is awesome. Enough said. On seeing her I immediately went to the Bombshell Miniatures site to see about getting one...

Do it in a Sean Connery voice and it sounds just right.

BTW folks, I played my 1st Imperial Assault games last weekend.

It is a good game. A little bit too detailed and card oriented for my taste (if you played X-Wing you know what I mean) but definitely fun.
Keeping the table tidy is a challenge. But the game feels right, alternate activation, opposed dice rolls, variable outcomes etc. We will play the campaign!

Next weekend I try it with my grown up nephews!
