Thanks everyone for the comments! The garden of Babylons would be a cool concept but where to add the ice, the fire, and the naked girls?
I took a step back to think about the build and came up with a new sketch. I did it on the computer this time as it forced me to be more precise with the dimensions. The new design is pseudo-Classical Greece and I had to shoehorn what I'd built so far (note to myself, next time think before building)
The floor was an absolute pain in the neck as the only high definition image I could find of the mosaic I liked was a tiny corner which I had to propagate to death. The final prints I will use for the build are not perfect but I should be able to hide the imperfections beyond rubble.
I ordered some cheap wedding cake columns. They are not amazing but represent excellent value for money. The girl stays, but the apple, the statue, the altar and the braziers are all gone. Instead I will build a huge fire in the middle. There should be something on top of the fire which will be very challenging to sculpt. As I'm not sure I'll succeed at creating it, I won't talk about it for now, and in case it fails, I have a plan B in place.
