Simon de Montfort
« on: February 24, 2015, 08:22:52 PM »
Thought you guys would like to see my latest commish work. It's the unfortunate Simon de Montfort as depicted at the Battle of Evesham where he was killed and rather rudely castrated (hopefully in that order). This is a special resin piece available as Wargames Illustrated's free event model for 2015 - they're running a demo game at the Battle of Evesham's 750th anniversary event (at Evesham, Worcestershire in August).

'Sir John ejaculated explosively, sitting up in his chair.' ... 'The Black Gang'.

That's bloody lovely cubs.   :-*

I've still got mine to paint. A Feudal range for the Barons war would be fantastic.  :D

Very nice piece. Would love getting a hold of one of those but I'm gonna guess that short of an airline ticket and a train ride to Salute that's unlikely.

Thanks guys, for some reason it looks quite glossy in the pics. Maybe I didn't wait long enough after varnishing or something.

Yeah, it's a nice pose innit? Full of desperate action and derring-do (and possibly dastardly disaster and dougnuts).
