"Definitely looking forward to the description of the game mechanics."

They were outlined in April's (or possibly March's?) Wargames illustrated which had a fairly detailed preview.  Worth a look if you can.

Shame about that!  You could take advantage of the current weakness of sterling and upgrade to Prime membership (£5.99 a month = around $8) if you don't mind an e-copy.  I have just done that and Prime gives access to the entire back catalogue, which is how I read the Congo preview.

The latest I have learned on the release date suggests we are still around two weeks away, as ST won't have stock until mid July.  Wargames Foundry will have boxed sets available for the launch, including an adventurer set with explorers, bearers, animals etc.  It seems there will also be four paint sets (presumably one per faction) including a free, exclusive miniature not available elsewhere.

I am really looking forward to getting my hands on a copy, and can only hope there are no more delays after this one!

I hate exclusive miniatures.  >:(

The rest of it sounds ok though.  ;)

Does the WI Prime membership actually allow you to download the magazines?

I haven't tried yet, but I know you can print pages or articles.  I doubt you could sign up for one month, download the entire back catalogue and then end your subscription, so I suspect downloading whole magazines won't work.

Some information about the collaboration between Wargames Foundry and ST :
There will be 5 different boxed sets released for CONGO with the models that have been chosen by ST.  There are no new models, but the combinations required for the game are different to how WF sell them in their usual packs.  However, they will be also be releasing paint sets that include unique free models that are not available for sale.
And it's soon...

Exclusive figures in paint sets is an interesting choice.  Honestly not one I like.

Nice work.  :) I particularly like the bright colours on the tribesmen.

I'm very excited about the concept, but disappointed with the difficulty of finding information.
