Terry Pratchett -- THE END
« on: March 12, 2015, 04:32:15 PM »
The passing of Terry Pratchett has been, well, announced,

The sad departure of one of my favorite authors.

 :(

I should have probably written this all in capitals.

RIP

Yes, truly a sad day. To me this chap is sans pareille. There is no other author whose books I have awaited with such eagerness.  :'(

Hear hear.

I'd like to think of him shaking hands with Death and giving Binky a lump of sugar.

A very sad day for all his fans, but I'm sure there will be a very warm welcome for him and his stories when he reaches the Pearly Gates.

RIP

You will be greatly missed.

"Oh no"... "OH YES" (to copy from the master himself)
The one redeeming thing is that I have not yet read all of his stuff. He will be missed.

This is very sad. I've been reading his Vimes and Moist von Lipwick books during the last few months and was flabbergasted by how good they are.

What a loss, I so looked forward to the continued adventures of Disk World.  We have lost to posterity yet another of the great creative writers...

This being a long time coming doesn't make it any less of a pity in the end.

RIP Sir Pterry.  Far and away my favourite author, a true gentleman on the occasions that I met him and definitely one who gave so much back to his fans.  Hopefully his passing was as peaceful and personal to him as he wished it to be.

Very sad news.  I read his books at school with great affection, and was impressed with his articulate interviews in later life as he battled disease.  A genuine character who will be sadly missed.

Death said "HELLO" to soon. Life definitely is a bitch.

He formed much of my understanding of humour with his books. RIP
