Thanks Jeff.
Glad you enjoyed it  :)

Yes, I've now played through this four times and it works pretty well thankfully.
Unfortunately, running the game at BLAM was quite full on, so didn't even get the chance to take any in-game action pics (if anyone else did, please feel free to add them here).
I did however snap a few shots of the final addition to the menagerie of terrifying predators facing the cave people - a pterosaur!
Whilst this fearsome creature made a number of swoops from overhead and injured a couple of cave people, in fact the only thing it managed to carry off at any point was a small enraged ape - which was vaguely helpful to the homo sapiens. So it just goes to show nothing ever goes quite the way you expect it to!

It's basically just a cheap toy bought off Amazon, with a bit of added Green Stuff, a respray (it was bright yellow!) and a new paintjob. Mounted on a piano wire strut on a weighted base...

I will turn the rules etc into a pdf and post as an attachment here when I get the chance  :)

I was ravaged by wolves, beaten by apes, slashed by a Sabretooth, harassed by a Teradactyl, clubbed and stabbed by Neanderthals.

All this before you even had a chance to set foot into the pub and play the game ?  ;)

The one disappointment of the weekend was not getting to play this. I deliberately kept away during games as I didn't want to spoil any of the surprises. It looked stunning.

Thanks for the game on Friday Richard. I was one of the lucky ones to get a shot. I was also lucky enough to be Alpha male in my game and get the helpless heroine to add to my caveman family. I managed to get ALL five off the board and win the game. Thankfully all the backstabbing betwen the other tribes never really reached me and thanks to the old woman from another tribe who distracted the wolves by being wolf bait.

I've got a couple of pics somewhere Richard, although the light above your area of the room was playing silly buggers with my camera. If I've got any decent ones I'll get them up when i get a chance mate!

Thanks again for the game and again.....great table and minis! 8)

Edit: here's the half decent pics mate.....

Estate Agent:"So Mr and Mrs Flintstone, here's the house. It has panoramic views, tons of space and enough rock to invent the wheel."

Fred:"So what are the locals like?...."

Estate Agent:"weeeell........."

Great looking table, you've shown more restraint than me , I wouldn't have been able to resist turning the bracelet( on the black haired cave woman with a spear)into a wrist watch, just so there's an air of two fingers to the sheer effort you've had to put in(it's silly thing like that ,that keep me sane during big projects,)
Still it's a table that's more than able to do the show circuit for more than one season, and still delight.
Mark.

Amazing Richard.  :-* :-* :-*

What an awesome table and such a different game concept.

Sorry if I missed an earlier post on this, but what were the table dimensions? In the photo above it looks really long and narrow. The game looks beautiful! I only wish I could have played in it--congratulations!

Thanks - some great photos there, despite the light being truly horrible in that corner of the room...

Love the shot of the little kid wandering into the cave bear's lair, clutching his tiny stone spike...  >:D

You did enjoy slaying the bear, didn't you Mark  lol

Arundel, the board was 1700mm long by 1000mm wide.

So about 3 feet x 5.5 feet.

It is a splendid photo.

I know you put a ton of effort into this project, Richard. It is fantastic... from the board to the minis and from what I can understand, the rules as well.

It looks absolutely brilliant and if the folks over there didn't appreciate enough, you can always bring it over my way...  :D

lol Thanks Ray.
I think getting it on the plane might be a little tricky, but maybe one day ;)

Now, as promised, the rules are attached, plus the scenario, and the player intro / game set-up
I will attach separate files on subsequent posts with all the character cards for cave people, Neanderthals, and assorted predators.

Note that the specific rules / attributes for each of the predators are provided on the relevant card.
Whilst the rules themselves cover the basic gameplay.

Predators and Neanderthal character cards attached to this one...

(Sorry, I have to do this in bite-sized pieces, because of the size limit on attachments).
