I'm working up some figs to try out Broadsword adventures.  Thus far I have a group of barbarians and some religious cultists.  See the pics on my blog.

Yay! More BA stuff! What kind of quality are those Heroscape sculpts?

Your barbarian Warlord is from the Iron Mammoth line which I purchased last year. Still working on getting all the figures done and recast.

But they look great!

Do you mean you bought some figures or the moulds?

Thanks all.  These heroscape miniatures are the only ones I have (bought them on clearance), but they seem to be comparable with the various clix miniatures, though not as bendy.  I happen to like the girl with the halberd quite a bit, and he one with the headdress is not bad, though the detail gets convoluted.

Thanks for the info on the barbarian warlord fig, I love the sculpt!  I seem to recall having some female barbarians from the same line (lost in some lead pile).  If you have purchased the line I for one will be happy to see them in production.

I have a clix miniature that I am finishing up to be the Head Priest for the cult, I'll post pics of her when I'm finished and hopefully some game pics when I'm able to play.

Here's the Head Priest for the cultists, a repainted clix figure with a knife added.

Bought the moulds. Heftig from our current line was from this line.

I still have all the amazons and a bunch more barbarians to get done.

Thanks for the comments.  ;D

I have some more Barbarians in the works for a rival band and am also working on some Civilized warriors  (all Mega miniatures)

Nice job like your priestess   :D
.

Thanks, she was hard to do with all the hair and leg wraps considering it's a clix miniature and not the most crisply sculpted.

I added some more pictures on my blog.  I added a rival Barbarian tribe and a group of Civilized warriors.  Also there is a mysterious bog creature that might show up in a game or two.

I ran my first game of Broadsword Adventures at a local convention last Friday.  I had 4 players each with a Grade 3, Grade 2 and 2 Grade 1 characters.  We used card activation to speed up the game with that many players and it worked rather well.  The game was pretty tense, with some epic struggles and random mayhem.  Read it about it on my blog.

Excellent stuff. Seems that the new king will have his hands full very soon!

How did your players like the game?

The players were all new to the system and all loved it.  One player went right out and bought .45 Adventure and one of the supplements, and is already planning some pulp WWII games.  The players ranged in age from 14 to 44, and all of them got into their role, particularly the barbarian warlord who kept stating that he should leave no witnesses to his treachery.  One thing that we noticed about the rules, however, is that there needs to be a skill cheat sheet.  New players are often overwhelmed by the amount and diversity of skills, so a simple chart that abbreviates them would help a lot.  I meant to jot down such info on the stat cards before the game, but ran out of time. Still, considering it was my first time with the BA rules and the players first time with the system, the game ran very smoothly.  Excellent time!
