Me too! Please, please, please  ;)  lol

Really great work  :-* ...even if I'm a bit jealous because I can't stay focus on any project for that long myself…

The town will get done, but first I want to complete the original figures set.  :)

actually, if you go back and check the whole thread, it's not such a big project yet really...  ;)

Not like the 200-300 (Weird) World War II figs I have painted (and still so many more left unpainted)... o_o

Teacher n° 2
« Reply #80 on: 02 June 2009, 02:30:23 PM »
The second female teacher, this one it's the Editions Atlas one and the most recognisable one to me, so I guess this one will get the chance to educate my schoolkids and the other one (Pixi) will get a career move.

The after-before shot (my "before" picture didn't come out well, so I had to use the one from the mag):

Powell, the gold digger, and his trusty donkey. This is the Editions Atlas version of this model. The rope that Powell's pulling the donkey with was made from greenstuff and added to the original model.

I overdid the highlights on this short civilian, but you'll just have to believe me it doesn't look this crap in real life. ;)

Powell looks like one mean ol' cuss. Nice one.  8)

If you're bothered by the highlights on the last figure, give it a splash with the new GW blue wash. Sorts out my overhighlighting a treat.

I was actually thinking of giving it a light wash of the medium colour I used on him, thinned with water. :)

Wow, the collection grows quickly : can't wait for the family pic !

I really like your clean paintjob and the blue highlights on the little guy aren't schokking, however, on a very few models (the bartender particularly) you seem to just overdo your blacklining a little bit too much : but it maybe the awful eye of the macro photograph though.

so keet it up,  please !

Yes, on some models the blacklining stands out more in the pictures, but I don't find it shocking in real life.  :)
After all, pictures tend to blow up the figures to larger than life sizes and thin lines look much more pronounced.

Think I'll do a light wash on the little guy just to make it all blend together a bit more.

indian, mexican and bandit added: Lucky Luke in 28mm
« Reply #86 on: 20 September 2009, 01:53:39 PM »
No this project is not dead (for those who were hoping it was, like say, anevilgiraffe  ), just been on the backburner.

Three more, all from the Atlas set: an indian, a mexican and a bandit. The indian is my favourite. Great mini. Mexican is okay, but a bit of a rough sculpt. Bandit is poor and uninspiring and I had to force myself to complete it. I've moved away a bit from the offcial colours on the indian and mexican, but I think it was worth it. Higlights aren't showing up well in the pics, damn...

I think they’re all nicely painted. It make a world of differences to see how they were and how they are now…
They’re much better now  ;)

store owner and goods added: Lucky Luke in 28mm
« Reply #88 on: 27 September 2009, 10:37:22 AM »
A bit more progress. The camera has drowned out nearly all the highlights, but they are there. ;) HIs eyes don't look as weird in real life either.  :?

It's the (food?) store owner and some of his stock. All the models are from Editions Atlas, except for the stack of 5 small barrels which are Mega Minis. When I get around to building the actual shop (when all the figures are painted), I'll add some more goods from various sources.

And the comparison shots.
