Sorry for the threadomancy, but I had to reply to this thread, having my own 28mm Lucky Luke project. 

I really like what you're doing with these 1/72 figures and I had many of the same figures in 54mm as a kid (well, chinese knock offs probably).

By the way, if you don't know about that allready, Stronghold Terrain released some 28mm Lucky Luke inspired minis as well:

I didn't. Those are great. Though not quite cartoony enough to go with the ones I already have.
