I do like that corner shop but I'm going to finish assembling the pub before I put another order in.

What would you like to see next in our 1930's photo realistic range.

So far we have terraced / semi detached houses (with or without gardens), a pub and a pair of shops. These are all available in either stone / brick or plaster.

I'm thinking of the next thing to add to the range and interested to hear what people would like. Some of the things on my list are School, Methodist Chapel, High Street Shops, Railway Station, Cricket Pavilion, War Memorial. Should I go with one of these, if so, which one, or is their a more useful building not on my list yet?

I like the sound of a railway station, maybe something like the one at Bodmin?

That is very nice, and at some time we will do a railway station.
However it was pointed out that at that time every village would have had a pub, village shop, church and post office so I think that a church should be the next addition to the range. Other suggestions I have had which will get added to the to-do list are a police station and a bank.

Yes, a church will be very useful and of course a bank, so you can have a bank manager!

I have just started a hobby area on my site for VBCW, where I plan to document the growth of the village of Tilkley together with it's warring factions. I have started off with a look at the start of my Royalist Faction.

VBCW page can be found at : http://wargamesbuildings.co.uk/Hobby-Pages/A-Very-British-Civil-War

We have just added a set of UK style roads range has been designed to be compatible with our range of photo realistic buildings.

The buildings all come with a 200mm x 300mm base. This base area can be extended to 200mm x 400mm with an optional additional garden or yard area.

Our road sections have been designed to match these base sizes, so you a 200mm is the right size to go in front of a building, a 300mm road section goes along side a building, or 2 x 200mm sections if the buildings base is extended with a garden or additional yard area.

We have provided alleyway sections, which are great for placing between two rows of buildings arranged back to back. These are 50mm deep, so we have designed a 50mm road section to increase the length of roads where alleyways are being used.

All road sections have been designed using Sally 4th's jigsaw road alignment method. This means that each piece has a jigsaw like tab and socket that joins with adjoining pieces to stop your terrain drifting apart mid-game. These joints are hidden away underneath the pavement sections.

Really nice work, very inspiring.  Good price on the buildings as well.  I am still on the out look for a good Town Hall and Bank!  Our Lad wants a Post Office but he is thinking of something like this!!  With the amount of Postmen he has for VBCW he needs it!

If you are looking for a church you can't go wrong with the 1/48 scale dolls house from petite properties...you can even buy the lich gate as well

Its enormous and certainly looks the part...

Last Monday we played our first VBCW battle at Ripon City Wargames Club.

We used Bolt Action for a two platoons a side game which saw two platoons of Workers Militia opposed by a Platoon of Royalists and a Platoon of BUF Legion.

The scenario choosen was 'Top Secret', which saw both sides fighting to get their hands on the Top Secret papers left in the turret of the broken down armoured car.

All of the buildings and roads are from Sally 4th photo realistic range which have been designed for 1930's action. http://wargamesbuildings.co.uk/Photorealistic-Wargames-Terrain

We have a full AAR with lots more photos on our VBCW Hobby Page at : http://wargamesbuildings.co.uk/Hobby-Pages/A-Very-British-Civil-War/VBCW-Top-Secret-AAR

What's that bus from?

Fram,
I think it's the Corgi Bedford OB coach. I have a similar one.

Nice work, Chris. The roads work a treat in conjunction with your houses.
