Upcoming Adventuring Party Advice Required
« on: April 03, 2015, 06:30:08 PM »
Hello!

This is a bit of a sad confession but it's how my brain works...

There is a new set of rules coming soon where you need a Wizard and an Apprentice. Given the source material, I would like to field a party of heroes led by, er, well, Elsa from Disney's Frozen, with her apprentice being Olaf the snowman - yes, I know...

Can anyone suggest a suitable figure for each of these characters in approximately 28mm scale?

Reaper might have seasonal familiars and various maidens and sorceresses

Copplestone's 'Evil Snowmen' might be a starting point.

Then again, if the game you mean is, in fact, the game I think you mean, you could do a lot worse to lean towards the 'Enchanter' school and use the snowman as a golem/construct...

I am not sure about Elsa (although I wouldn't mind one myself for a Arendelle based Napoleonic Skirmish game  ;) ) but I reckon it would be easy to make Olaf out of Green Stuff. The thing is he is quite small, about the size of a hobbit or a dwarf.

I made a Marshmallow, but haven't made Olaf yet. I used Sculpy.

Theres more 28mm Superhero Madness at my blog, http://fourcoloursupers.blogspot.com/
And for Ultra-modern Wargaming check out Hotel Zugando at http://ultramoderngaming.blogspot.co.uk/

For Elsa

Plus they have other females that could work.
Hasslefree and Reaper would also be a good place to look

Reaper has a group of snowmen that might serve the purpose:

I like the one in the derby myself.

AND a few that might be stretch it a bit:
