What are the constructs?
Specific materials or just specific sizes (or both)? So a medium stone construct and a large stone construct are different but a medium stone construct and a medium wood construct are the same (or are they?).

Yep, they are the same, size is what matters ;)

With the exception of magic and spells Frost-grave really goes the diversity through generalization way.

Yeah, if anything would have made me more attracted to Frostgrave, it would have been for Josef Ochmann to have joined this project's (already impressive) sculptor line-up.

(This is assuming Ochmann is still sculpting. The last figures I'm aware he did were the Black Hat Samurai, which are certainly much newer than the Metal Magic stuff but still 8 years old by now.)

That'd certainly explain why I've found those minis pulling me. I haven't bought them yet, but might just have to now (As if I didn't have enough to paint lol )

The Nickstarter is just a pre-order program. All the figures will be available to buy after the 20th of July, both from our mail order and retail stores. The Nickstarter allows you to get in early, save a bit of money and get some freebies.

So, exactly how early are the Nickstarter orders expected to ship?

I won't be home until about July 15th, and if a parcel is not picked up from the local post office within a fourtnight, it will be returned to sender.
Ask at the LAF, and answer shall thy be given!

Hi Arognor

We haven't got a fixed delivery date as it is dependant on a lot of different factors. But I'm planning for early July. Have you got an alternative delivery address? If not we can hold onto the order for you.

Please email or PM me.

Nick

Sorry if this has been discussed before  ;D

From the different blogs, info releases etc that I have read, there will be Undead in Frostgrave in the form of Skeletons and Ghouls, correct? Will there also be Zombies and Vampires?

Cheers

Thank you! Now I can put the Undead warband I had planned for Mordheim/Coreheim to better use in Frostgrave!

OK, thanks, I shall - I have already answered the confirmation mail, as I had missed the bit about writing which wizard pack I wanted as well, and I am going to order an additional pack for a friend, but I shall write a mail with all details.

I've bought into this game with 2 x Level 3 Wizard Packs as it looks like a super cool game. Thanks for designing and publishing it.

I've got my code that gives access to the extra shopping pages and there is a lot of stuff to buy on there that is obviously for the game, yet I have no idea what extra's I would like to buy because I don't know enough about the game to make an informed decision.

Would it be possible to get some info on these details?

A few examples just to give an idea of the type of info I am looking for;

Example 1 - Can we get a rough idea of what spells each of the Wizards specialise in? I may prefer some over others.

Example 2 - How many wild creatures (wolves, dogs, bears, giants, trolls, werewolves etc, etc) will I need and how often will they get used in the game. Are they brought on by a random event roll or a random roll on a spell effect table, meaning they will only see play time if a Wizard has that spell, successfully uses it, and rolls for "Wolves" on a table - this would mean that wolves would likely not see much table time. When they do appear, how many appear?

Example 3 - How often do I get to use Wizard companions...every game? Sometimes? Hardly at all? Only when I roll successfully on a table?

Example 4 - There's a lot of Undead Creatures on there for sale...how many of each will I likely need and how often?

Example 5 - What about the Demons and Constructs? How many of these will I need? Will I only need these for certain Wizards, or will they be needed for every, or most games?

I think some more information on this needs to be shared so that people can ascertain what extra's they would like to buy.

How are those of doing the Nickstarter through Brigade Games supposed to see the models that are being sold as extras? Will the photos all be made publicly available before the Nickstarter ends? Not willing to buy models without seeing what they look like, especially if everyone who ordered through Northstar gets to see them and I don't  ;)

If you hover over the images of the wizard figures on the Nickstarter you'll get a little explanation about their specific types of powers. That said, wizards can dress however they want, so I'd just pick your favourite figs and not worry too much about what schools they represent. Also, wizards are not limited to spells from their own school, so there is a lot of crossover.

No creatures, of any type, are necessary to play Frostgrave. Most of the monsters/creatures in the game are optional encounters. You don't and won't need them to play the game, but if you have them and want to use them the rules are there. A few of the scenarios do require specific creatures, but you can pick those up when you want to play that scenario, or just use whatever you already have.

There are some types of creatures that can be summoned by wizard. However, again, these are optional, especially at the beginning. Wizard get to pick their spells, so if you want to summon demons, you can pick that spell. If you don't have any demon models, don't take that spell. Dogs are essentially warband members, you could have a full warband of dogs if you wanted...I doubt you'd win many games, but its an option. Worth picking one up if you like the idea of a four legged soldier in your warband, but they aren't necessary.  If your wizard casts animal companion, he may choose from Bear, Wolf, Snow Leopard, or Ice Toad to join his warband. In theory you could have two of these in a warband (both the wizard and the apprentice could attempt the spell).

I would suggest having a few zombies and skeletons. These are great base creatures to serve as minor threats. And the wizards can potentially get a couple of zombies in their warbands.

If you want to play wizards who can summon demons or animate constructs, get a couple of each, especially small ones.

Mainly, I would just say, buy the figures you want, or the ones you think would be cool to include in games. There will be rules for them, but don't feel compelled to buy any of them because you think they are 'necessary' to play the game.
