It's a pretty good deal... I'm still resisting, but it's getting harder with every day. Especially as I received my tax returns yesterday AND landed a new client assignment, starting Monday.

With the early bird postage cost, it's £120 shipped for the ultimate wizard. In it, you get 30 metal models. That's £4 each and not too shabby all in itself. Now, on top of that you get treasure tokens, ultimate treasure tokens (also metal models), a box of 20 very nice plastic models, a nice hard-back rule book, a paperback book with short stories and a few digital products. It's a crazy-good deal!

Ugh. How will I be able to resist?!

Haha, sounds like you've already talked yourself into it Phreedh! I'm not in a position to get involved (at the moment, at least), but I do very much like the concept, particularly the small amount of miniatures needed to run games.

By the way, does it matter when I start adding stuff to my order? I'm sort of waiting to see all I can add to do it all at once.
But perhaps it looks better on the nickstarter if I start adding stuff.

I've just added bits and pieces as they've become available, that way it helps push the total up to unlock other stuff that I will add at a later date.

Nick keeps a running total of what you order.  :D

Hi Henrix

You've already ordered a Wizard Level haven't you? If not, and to anyone else reading, buy into a Wizard Level before tomorrow night because from Monday the subsidised postage (Early Bird offer) ends. As long as you have a Wizard Level, you can add extras to your order and they fall in the subsidised postage offer.

In all honesty, there's unlikely to be more stuff added now, even if we get over £40K. Reason being, Frostgrave has gone a lot better than I imagined, and really the focus now is making sure everything gets to us in time so we can deliver your orders complete as early in July as possible, rather than piling new product on to tempt more money from people.

You can see from the silhouette pictures on the Nickstarter page, not everything is quite ready yet, but it is all in hand.

Nick

PS That doesn't mean no new product for Frostgrave of course. After the release on the 20th of July, there will be more figure releases, including in November the second plastic box set!

Oh, yes ;)

(And I'll probably add another, for a friend. As well as more stuff.)

You could have stretch goals teasing about future stuff. I guess the more the starter draws the more likely you are to make more further on.

I'm curious about the campaigns. What are they? Themed scenarios, monsters and such, or something else?

Wait... second plastic box?! I like the sound if that.

Got my order in on Friday. At the time I'm writing we're just short of the 30k level for spend goal 7 but I believe we'll see that go with the weekend's orders.

I'm interested in this second set of plastics too.

Second box set was hinted at with a small pic of a hooded figure's head.  Reading the Garage Gamers review of the main rulebook, towards the end there's a preview for the Lich Lord coming in November:

http://thegaragegamers.blogspot.co.uk/2015/05/frostgrave-fantasy-wargames-in-frozen_25.html?m=1

The entire left page is a illustration of three hooded cultist looking guys.  So, Lich Lord expansion in November, new plastic box set in November.   Then the hooded head hint and the rulebook Lich Lord preview.

My money is on plastic cultists.

Sounds well-researched and sensible. Thanks!

I could use plastic cultists. If they'll look like the people in the illustration they could also work (at least in a non-Frostgrave context) as masked resistance fighters, bandits/assassins/thieves or ensorcelled thralls (voodoo zombies, vampires' slaves, that sort of thing).

Since I'm tempted to get the Mantic 'Undead Encounters' set offered to Wizards, I would love to know that the second plastic box isn't going to be Frostgrave's own undead set. The sculpting so far on the Frostgrave figures is sumptuous. Is there any chance that this, at least, can be ascertained?

That question doesn't have a straight forward answer...

Sorry Al, actually now that I think about it, I'm less sure of the answer. Sorry for being cryptic, I'm just not sure how much I'm allowed to say.

Ah well, if you have to be cryptic, at least it's about the undead....
