The painting is all Mr Kevin Dallimore, North Star staff member, as is all the photography, and the layout, and whatever else we throw his way!

A Nickstarter is a tongue in cheek name for our pre-order program, taking some ideas from the more famous crowd-funding company. Visit the North Star site in May to see more.

Not massively inspired by the metal sculpts, but there are hundreds of alternatives around so that's no big deal. Waiting for pics of the plastics.

Wizards are some of the most common fantasy sculpts indeed.

So, will the wizards be available individually or will they be sold in sets only? I'd really like to pick up that first one for my Norse fantasy. 8)

The Wizards will come in a two pack, Wizard and Apprentice.

I can only assume the apprentices will have the same theme as their wizard, so that's fine by me.  8)

Yep - that's the idea. A wizard and his/her apprentice will be stylistically consistent. In the game, in keeping with the mentor/student relationship, an apprentice is defined by the quality of his wizard - so, if a wizard improves at casting spell X, so too does the apprentice.

My absolute favourite is the Necromancer pairing - one slightly aristocratic, arrogant-looking wizard, and his more thuggish assistant.

Well; my hype is real

The only problem I have s that June is a long way away :l

I am very curious as to how the necromancer will look, seeing as I am currently working on an undead warband :)

Now, that, is bloody gorgeous.

Very much looking forward to the Nickstarter on this one.

Will there be anymore insights to the rules closer to release Smith?
