I just received my samples and can only say... wow! The material is a lot like hard plastic in regard to flex (not prone to snapping like some other resins) and the way it cuts, but like white metal in regard to crispness of detail. I genuinely hadn't ever come across resin like this before. I now understand that my view of resin as a casting material has been outdated - the good stuff is really good.

My only complaint to Schrumpfkopf is that there are practically no mould lines on the sample figures. What is a hobbyist to do with no mould lines to remove? ;)

Thanks again, Schrumpfkopf! You're certainly being generous and proactive in making sure customers will be confident in the material.

Juan: Love those paintjobs!

Thank you for your kind words Rhoderic!

And Juan - yes very nice painting and basing :--)
westfaliaminiatures.com - proper stuff in 28mm

I just saw the female Paladin and I'm looking forward to that project! To me, she looks like a grown up version of Arya Stark from GoT (the book series).

I'm afraid the Paladin will go into the March KS which will be more about RPG than army stuff.

The anticipation is killing me! Is there a final date for the Kickstarter set?

Good, not too far away...  :) I've been hoarding some cash for this KS, but December's an expensive month and the wallet seems to be leaking at the seams... :'(

Christmas is the only time of the year when I have enough time to commit myself to a KS of that size. No promises, but I might reopen the Pledge manager in January for a bit.

Oh, that lady Paladin will have a place in my yet non-existing Frostgrave war band!  :-*

I really try hard to keep things affordable. :)

  • I disapprove!
I've resolved to set aside some money for this KS so as to not end up in a situation where I'll have overspent on other things and can't afford to pledge after having cheered the project on as much as I have. It won't be a huge pledge though, as I don't do regimental / massed battle in 28mm anymore.

Which reminds me, could anyone tell me what would be an adequate number of halflings for a Dragon Rampant warband?
