Skirmishing in the HYW with Perry-Plastic
« on: April 14, 2015, 01:29:41 PM »
I have to admit: I am a perry plasic fanboy.

I was a little concerned about the new set (static archers, small variety in knight poses, very small parts in the frame...).
But the miniatures are just sweet. Just added the bill from the WotR box.

I just put a little 300p gang for "Songs of Drums..." togehter.

Took me about 3 hours to get them ready...
In the drying time I did the perry/renedra house in the back. Not as great as the minis... ;)

Sir Southgate, 70p, leader, 3+/3
Pierce, his bodyguard (Men at Arms, the guy with the axe), 76p, 3+/4, wild, hero
2 longbowmen, 44p, shooter long, 3+/3
2 billmen, 36p, 3+/3., fearless

btw: the knights are just awesome... :-*

Cheers,
Don

Beautiful looking minis. I'm a Perry plastic fanboy too (who isn't?), and I am pretty drooly over the HYW minis, but I'm holding off buying it until the French come.

The kit is great for skirmish games, as it comes with archers and loads of different weapons for the kniggits. Again, great work on these.

Nice posing and painting! Quick too...
(Like Kings Curse, I'm trying to resist the siren call of this kit until the French are done too. But people like you make it hard, so hard...)

Pretty cool.

Very nice. Three hours - that's damned fine work for such a quick turnaround.

I agree the figures are sweet and the knights in particular are awesome - much better in their finished state than first inspection of the sprues might suggest.

Thanx gents. Managed to get 2 new retinues...:)

A fairly realistic english agincourt gang.

The stakes look perhaps a little odd when moving in the field, but it was cool to identify the different warbands in the first testgame...

...and the french counterpart.

Crossbow arms are from the mercenaries sprue...;)

Cheers,
Don
