Help me fill my blog reader!
« on: April 14, 2015, 03:35:45 PM »
Hey guys, I am in the process of rebuilding my blog feed reader and am seeking your recommendations for wargaming blogs to follow. Ideal candidates are pic-heavy blogs featuring fantasy and sci-fi miniature gaming, DIY game supplements, worldbuilding essays, strong narrative streaks, etc.

Even though I don't really use a reader (maybe I should?) I'll share my favourites (apart from your own  ;D  ). I've been thinking about starting a blogspot blog for my own miniature-stuff as well, but I kinda like the LA-forum - Its nice and comfy here.

At any rate, in no particular order:

http://kingsminis.blogspot.dk/ - Australian blogger, author of Skulldred and all around awesome painter, modeller and person.

http://theleadpile.blogspot.co.uk/ - Inspirational with occasional longer very read-worthy article-y pieces. Another great painter, with a lot of great terrain building and AAR's as well. A focus on rogue trader.

http://leadplague.blogspot.dk/ - I am repeating myself, but yet another really good painter that I greatly enjoy and draw from .

There's loads more, but these are the ones I check most regularly (though that is mostly because those are the ones I tend to remember).

Cheers!

I'll admit, the Lead Pile was one of the blogs I automatically added when I set up my new reader account.  8)

By the way, I'm using Feedly, which is free and dead simple to use.

Oh, man. I had to do that a while ago. It was not fun, especially since I had been a blog junkie!

BTW I settled on Inoreader as a substitute for my long loved Google Reader. You might want to check it out, if you haven't already.

A few I enjoy that might fit the bill (at least those I can recall while here at work):

http://deltavector.blogspot.com/
http://jaysminiatureenterprises.blogspot.com/
http://paintingagency.blogspot.com/

I've also taken the opportunity to set up my own feedly - Dont know why I haven't done so before. At any rate, I've added a bunch of the blogs in this thread as well.

Always late to the party it seems...

Thank you very much for the kind words Affun ! The many talented and familiar faces that were here before already linked to some wonderful places. Must have got about 150 blogs registered in my acpount but I still come by excellent ones every once in a while. Such a pleasure...

I keep thinking that I have all of the "Good" ones added, but then stumble upon yet another amazing blog to follow. Good stuff indeed.

I will just, humbly, add my own, newly started, blog to the list. Ahem.  :D
