Something about Necromunda really seems to inspire the crazy ambitious terrain builders out there, too.

I recently painted up my first gang! Necromunda came out during my beer and ladies break from the hobby so never got to play but now I've got together with a load of other old gits I can finally get my game on.

That's how I did it. First got the girl, then Boom; full blown hobbiest and getting worst every year.

Some great pics on here, one thing I found is the official miniatures can fetch silly money on evilbay,I started putting together some alternatives as I was going to do a not necromunda/Logan's world type setting but it stalled as they do  lol
I had some west wind brotherhood for  redemptionist/anti mutant gang
And was going to use some old war zone dark legion for a opposing evil worshipping gang.
Judt wondered what substitutes  people was using?

Heresy miniatures have a great not-delaque gang.

Same here.  I honestly wasn't planning on going back to wargaming, but within a year of getting married it pulled me back in.

My wife still says I married her under false pretenses.  lol

Just wondered what substitutes  people was using?
For the bargain minded, the East Riding Slicks are a great delaque option with some mods.  Catchans are still a good option for orlocks and you can use the plastic 2-part orlocks (still available fairly cheaply) along side them as juves.
There are alot of mad-max-bad-guy style post-apoc figs out there that would be excellent proxies for goliath.

Through alot of patient searching and bargaining over the course of a few years I managed to get official minis for Van Saar (Painted), Escher (currently being painted by a friend) and Cawdor (unpainted).  I've also got the figs for a ERM slick Delaque gang and a half-proxy Orlock gang, but those are very much on the back burner.

Plenty of proxies/alternatives for Necromunda there's' a large Thread over on the Yaktribe forum.

Some of the ones I use are Lancer Minitures/Warfactory Cultists for Redemptionists, Kromlech Bionics for Pitslaves,(Both earlier in the thread) & Ex-Grenadier Future Wars for a House gang seen below:

Oh go on then  :D

My gang was 'Jade' and they had quite an outing a few years ago. Got about seven campaign games in and would love to do it again.

cheers

James
