Hi guys

Some 15mm Xan miniatures painted as the 92nd Gordon Highlanders to add to this Highlanders thread, have only painted 18mm ABs at this scale before and the little bit of extra size allowed me to do the bonnet chequers better on the ABs, struggled a little with these Xan, they are more true 15s.

Regardless - they've turned out gorgeous; that tartan!

Very nice, don't know how you paint them close together on the sticks though. Would drive me loopy

Thanks guys, I actually like painting them on the sticks, it helps with production line painting.

Very nice work indeed...  I have those Perry AWI Black Watch, and they are lovely figures, which you have more than done justice to.

Lovely work, but you might need to re-think the AWI line infantry drummer in the last photo.  He appears to be in a blue coat; however, regiments with dark blue facings did NOT reverse colours for their drums/fifes - they wore a red coat with the Royal lace, which at this size/scale would look yellow. Check out this website:-

(Click of "British Regiments in North America 1775-1783" and then go to the entries for the 4th, 7th, 8th, 18th, 21st or 23rd Foot.
