Hi guys

Some 28mm D.A.K figures finished on commission, enjoyed painting these immensely, don't get to paint D.A.K very often, theses are Artizan figures, some have had headswaps.

Hi guys

Well, I was going to call this group and tutorial done, but as the pastel carrier fluid dried it has gone white around the wheel area, mustn't have stirred it properly, and I think the pastel I have used may be to bright anyway, so I may re do that step, pics aren't great, poor lighting here today, obscuring all the weathering detail, last pics are of the next group of vehicles I'll be working on, also need to do the infantry for this early war German force, all comments welcome.

Very well done! A sadly overlooked force certainly...

Yes, don’t see to many Italian armies, bad rep I suppose, but I think the average soldier performed as well as any other, lots of equipment problems I think.

Hi guys

A model I have been wanting to do for a while as a command piece is Peiper seated in his schwimmwagen, the missing-lynx braille scale board is running a bottletop challenge (basically to build a model that fits in a milk bottle lid) so I thought I would finally do this little piece. The figs will need to be converted to fit the scene.
It wont have much use in a Chain of command platoon, but I'm thinking of turning it into a patrol marker.

Interesting challenge, famous photo but do you really wish to commemorate an infamous war criminal? Peiper was a nasty piece of work.
Em dezembro de '81
Botou os ingleses na roda
3 a 0 no Liverpool
Ficou marcado na história
E no Rio não tem outro igual
Só o Flamengo é campeão mundial
E agora seu povo
Pede o mundo de novo

Just a model mate, I won’t get into the wrongs or rights of WWII military modelling, or any military modelling for that matter, what are you even doing on this board? I have even painted a miniature of Napoleon, the English would not be happy, let alone the Spanish, I have paint soviets, imagine what a Pole would think, I have even painted Romans, now that’s a can of worms.

Yep, I know it’s just a model and I’m well aware that a lot of the participants in the Second World War committed war crimes but when you model a specific individual who was an infamous war criminal that takes it into another space. For what it’s worth I have WW2 Japanese but I wouldn’t be modelling the personalities responsible for Sandakan or the horrors of Changi.

Horses for courses I suppose.

Wargaming is like story telling, a good story has hero’s and villains, this character is just a villain to be run over by toy Sherman on a wargaming table, nothing more, nothing less.

The rules say 37mm, so should be good.
