German Rocket Troops
« on: January 01, 2009, 02:32:15 PM »
Apologies if this has been posted before, but an interesting site for ideas:

http://discaircraft.greyfalcon.us/HIMMELSTURMER.htm
They were all drawn to the Keep; the soldiers who brought death; the father and daughter fighting for life; the people who have always feared it; and the one man who knows its secret....

i think the 'wing' shape makes more sense - obviously it works from the illustrations.  but i think a model would be really cool!

Sorry not as yet.  I've got my Lilith and her twins being done right now and then probably another Luftfaust gunner in a firing position, grenadier medic and a golden age wartime Amazon who's name will not be mentioned. ;)  Money's tight so its slow and steady for me but some of the bigger guys might take it on if you push a bit.

I think Quarter Kit will be me on the Kitten so check with them regularly,
Brian

Those look nice but they wouldn't work. Aside from getting your butt burned off there is no support for the rockets. Compare the sketches of the German troops to the 1960 patent application.

I'd like German Rocket troops as well but these are terribly unrealistic

As opposed to Vampires, Werewolves, Zombies, and Daemonic Horrors? ???
And walking mecha tanks? And tesla death rays?
All of which are a blast of course!  :-*

Just because we have fantastic elements in our games we should ignore obvious structural and engineering problems?

It's a crazy design. It won't work. So why not try to make a more "realistic" miniature instead of one that is clearly flawed

thanks for your opinion pixelgeek

If somebody makes the figs and I'll buy them with glee, I'm sure others will too.
Take them or leave them at your pleasure like anything else

Is there a problem with me not liking these?

Not at all.
I sincerely thanked you for your opinion without malice or sarcasm

And if so, what do you care?

I dont. As I said, take them or leave them as you wish.
Do what you want and above all have fun, which is the whole point of gaming and these boards in supporting a fun hobby.

Which would not generally include secretly sending abusive PMs to those who you have deliberately chosen to misinterpret.

All I asked about was some minis. Lets agree to disagree - its a fictional alternate history gaming world after all!
No need to challenge anyone to a duel over it

Guys, please keep it calm and civil. Both of you are entitled to your position, and neither warrants any personal attacks.

Sadly things get read with a more serious tone online which is why we have all these amusing Frankenstein based smilies to add to our posts.

Its far too easy to misunderstand people's tone without the verbal cues we are all used to. I know I get into trouble all the time with people misunderstanding my rather brief posts.

Which is why I find myself using smilies even when I don't think that they are necessary.

My apologies for misunderstanding the tone of your comment but I think its a nice illustration of how easy it is for people to take messages the wrong way
