I had no idea there was a Roberto figure; "where's my stabbing knife?"
Its available from Armorcast, where its possible to find a few other similarly themed models if you fancy them Elk101.
Wonderful, subtle colour scheme and I still love the way you highlight your figures.
Thanks Mason. I push the highlights a bit further than some do I suppose, but thats just something that gradually happened, rather than something that I originally set out to do. If the contrast isnt visible from about a metre away, then it is in some respects probably not worth doing I reckon.
Another great addition to the thread. Very simple yet elegant use of color here.
Thanks. I want the robots to look like mass produced products rather than individually crafted items. The limited, almost Tupperware or Lego like schemes help with that. Its also one of the things that I like about the official Judge Dredd robots from Mongoose, they have simple, modular looking exteriors. I know that the robot designs got some stick when they were released, but I think that they nailed it really.
That robot looks like he never gets a day off.
Precisely

Thats the appeal of the figure to me, it conveys a little narrative all on its own.
And since I haven't mentioned it recently, the Mantic Deadzone terrain is just about perfect for Judge Dredd. I just love your terrain.
The Mantic terrain definitely generates the feel of a certain part of MC1, but the environment is so huge that all sorts of things can be justified. I do think that this take on it is working out well so far, although it will never be in competition with the likes of JimBibbly or AndyMs terrain. Thats ok too though, horses for courses and all that.
I have literally ten times more Deadzone terrain than I have photographed to date assembled and sprayed since January. Im hoping to allot some time to finish at least some of it off and get my MC1 looking a bit more built up soon. I will probably start another thread for that though.
Nice addition. Not too complicated or elaborate, but damn effective. Great one.
Thanks Malebolgia. Simplicity definitely has its place in toy soldiers.
