Quickie update - I just clear-coated (gloss) the last 10 Fusiliers, so 24 hours from now, I can base them and finish my first full unit for Black Powder/ Colonial wargaming. :)

Looking forward to seeing them in action!

I've just started the colonial period a swell. I'm going for 20s-30s Waziristan.

Are you going straight in with a mass battle system or going to get some skirmish games in first? I get to impatient to wait 'til I have a whole army before I game.

Are you using any of Empress' "Jazz Age Imperialism"? Those look lovely. :)

I'd love to skirmish, my King's Royal Rifle Corps are based on 20mm square skirmish bases, and about 65% finished. I'm just now meeting people in Colorado that are interested in  gaming, so I do hope to start pretty soon.

yes! I've only allowed myself to go into a new theatre of war on the condition I buy one pack at a time and paint it up before buying the next one. My first pack was some Pashtuns/Afgans from Empress and they are lovely miniatures, full of character. I'm 75% through painting them, then to some gurkhas I think.

Sweet! Please post photos when you finish them. What brand are you using for the Gurkhas?

I think I've got some Copplestone Ghurkhas around somewhere, will have to have a dig around in the back of some cupboards. I'll put the Pashtuns up when their done, planning on putting them on the blog as well.
