Lovely  :-* :-* :-* :-* :-* :-*
The eyes on the servant are amazing

I got this figure a couple of years ago and put him on one side because of his massive size but he looks fine here.

Thanks for the comments! It's always a fun moment when things come together, eyes can really make or break a paintjob. Mitchell really is massive, but I figured that I'd just make him massive in the narrative as well. I don't mind mixing sizes and scales somewhat, as once you're looking at things from even a gamer's perspective, most of the size differences tend to disappear.

To keep the ball rolling, I added a pirate from Hasslefree, and I'm really happy with the end result for once!

With a bunch of other pirates also seen on this thread:

As usual, write-up here.

Great brushwork as usual, CONGRATULATIONS!  :-*

And thank you very much for the pirate size comparison on your blog!  ;)

Thanks dinohunterpoa! When I get home in the summer, I'd be happy to take some more comparison pictures.

Added a night watchman from Blue Moon Manufacturing. Really happy with how this one turned out!

Very nice!  :-*

I have this one and his "clone" from Foundry; both work at the beach signaling with their lanterns for the beaching party of smugglers in my pirate setting!  lol

Thanks! I was about to paint it yellow and then started looking at reference photos. A dim lantern apparently goes from white to yellow, orange, red and dark brown at the very edge. Really happy with it myself, too, and gave me the confidence to paint in some lighting effects as well.

Your lantern painting effect was unbelievably successful! The first time I saw it, I thought you used some kind of glass... and the little light seems to be flickering! Congratulations!

Two maroons from Foundry. They'll eventually be their own faction, but for now they're a part of my pirates. Blog post here.
