When I started playing SAGA a while ago I started to extend my collection of appropriate terrain pieces as well. A lot of those pieces rather functional and less beautiful but at least two pieces turned out rather nice.
First for my Dark Ages cottage:
Actually I built this nearly a year ago with the help of my daughter (turning four those days) but somehow I didn't find the time to present it earlier. The house is a really wonderful kit with about ten pieces. They all were very well cast and fitted perfectly so putting them together and painting the basic colours nothing to speak of. Only the teddy fur roof was a little tricky. First we slathered the teddy fur for the roof of the cottage with white glue and yellow brownish paint. After letting it dry for a couple of days we put a dark brown whash (Armypainter Strong Tone) on it and let it dry again.
Really an excellent kit by Stronghold Terrain which was wonderful to work with. Some more (and larger) pictures on my blog if you like:
Here.
Secondly for the Pit House:
Another kit of Mirco's and Elmar's wonderful range is the Dark Ages Pit House. Just like the cottage it's modelled after real building found in a German outdoor museum. The kit has the same exquisite quality as all piece of Stronghold's range and it was likewise pure fun to work with it:
Once again well cast pieces which fitted perfectly. Unfortunately I'm lousily slow with terrain building. Otherwise I'd have created a much larger village by now. My next piece for this project will be a roofed furnace. Likewise by Stronghold Terrain but before tackling this kit I have to put some work into our club's Waterloo 2015 project for Crisis 2015...
As usual some more (and larger) pics of my work
here.
I hope you enjoy my humble work.
Cheers
