I guess this really just leaves one question.

Do I buy a new console or go for a badass PC?
If you'd like an apocalyptic monster in 28mm, throw me a PM and I'll think it over.

Can you run Skyrim? By my guess its the Skyrim engine, just a few years on. So I'm assuming that you'll just need a slightly beefier rig than was needed for that. My laptop can run that game, so I'm hoping I don't need to upgrade it for something better to manage that thing (though then again Fallout 4's coming out at New Years, so at least I should be able to prepare before then).

I did do tests to see if Skyrim would run on this machine and it gave me a lot of problems. >>
I could do with a nice gaming rig, really. I never touch my 360 these days so I might as well just bury the past and fully accept the master race.

Sir you're going to be playing a Bethesda sandbox RPG, if its not on PC then you aren't doing it right...

Seriously if you don't play one of those games with mods then you haven't played them. You could keep your console (though I think its only for XBox One) or fork out the cash for a new PC and not play any other game for two years because there's so many mods for it. ...Which totally isn't what I did when Fallout 3 and Skyrim came out.

...

.....

So, this armour with a helmet, mesh shoulder pads and a gun? Or do I give him a baseball bat?

The release is still some time off and a good gaming PC can be had for a few hundred bucks, depending on what you already have :)

Why not both?
"Peace" is that brief, glorious moment in history when everybody stands around reloading.

I should be able to run it : i7, HD6900 series (6970 I believe) and 32GB RAM
Nevertheless, been thinking of buying a new rig when the new toys hit the market (Skylake processor, DDR4 memory)  :D

The doom and woe's already started on the No Mutants Allowed forum thread for this.

NMA is just as bad as /v/ when it comes to Bethesda. It's just the old men, sitting on their porches shaking canes at kids and shouting "GET OFF MY LAWN".

The trailer has me sufficiently excited.  :) As for people complaining already about a silly trailer, well that's their prerogative.  I find that vocally negative subsection of gamers online to be just noise most of the time, it's much more fun to just ignore them, they'll complain about anything.  ::)

Whelp, I didn't need those pants. Ghouls look faster and more killy, but that just might be the faded memories of F3 and having a fully repaired combat shotty talking. I am very excited and from the looks of it, I'll JUST be able to play this on my current PC!

Kinda sucks for my friend who just bought F3 though...

I needed a good argument to buy a PS4.

Here it is. Love the trailer and will most probably wander around several hundreds of hours there. It is awesome!
Please help me with my Fallout rules, picture heavy!!
