FO3 was on its release a moderate Hardwareeating Game. I´ve no doupt that this will be the same with FO4. Imo Everybody who is able to play The Witcher 3 in Good Quality will have no Problems with the Hardware Needs of FO4.

My personal first Projekt from this trailer will be the very cool new Nuka Cola machine :-)

Not wanting to rain on anyone's parade and I'm excited for the game too, but isn't this thread aganst the forum rules? As I recall, non-wargaming-related discussions were previously relegated to the Open Talk forum, which got axed a while back. I understand that Fallout in particular is closely related to miniature wargaming on this forum, and again, I love discussing videogames that are  related to miniature gaming, so I would just like to know when it's ok and when it's not ok to post a thread like this :)

That's a good point, thank you for mentioning it. I didn't feel that locking or terminating this thread was necessary- the first sticky in the Post-Apocalyptic Tales is Fallout inspired miniatures after all, and quite a few people here find Fallout very relevant to gaming interests. I suspect that the Fallout Miniatures thread will see some more additions as a result of the game. Also, LAF has similar threads on other boards.

When it's 'not okay' would be if a thread is focusing (or digresses) on the aspect of video gaming- technical details, which console is better, gameplay, etc. Keep it miniatures related and there certainly won't be an issue.

They're saying it's about 30 square miles. That's pretty mindblowing to be fair.

From Bethesda's store :

The current estimated ship date is TBA.

Whatever the date, it's always too late  ;D

"Peace" is that brief, glorious moment in history when everybody stands around reloading.

On the upside moody its not like your GF will flee by riding a bike to cuba with your games so I suspect you will be fallouting in no time
I hope so, I wouldn't past her as something she would like to try at least once.

Dogmeat is best companion, especially with the broken steel addon.

I have never finished fallout III (or got too far ) and barely started the new vegas one.

Shame on you !  ;)

I say shame on you, but realy should take a look at myself. Played FO3 years back, then FNV with all the DLC and restarted FO3 last year, but this time GOTY edition, so also with all DLC. went through the standard game and then Mothership Zeta, Operation Anchorage and Broken Steel (I guess). Started Point Lookout but got distracted some months ago and still have to do The Pitt...  ::)

I need to actually play them through the first time. Which so far is fun and the dog is a hoot. All fallout projects need dogmeat the dog or its not proper fallout I have decided.

Well, it is a fine companion, but I found the AI for plotting it's movement rather cumbersome. Lost that dog several times and on some occasions even got a message that he died  :'(

On one of my playthroughs Dogmeat suffered a strange beneficial glitch that made him pretty much invincible. Nothing could hurt him at all. Watching him going head to head with a Deathclaw or a Sentry Bot, suffering no damage while chipping away the Deathclaw/Sentry Bots health bar in tiny, tiny increments, was strangely satisfying.  :D

Have we got a release date for this yet?

I realize it's barely over an hour old at this point, but anyone catch the news from the E3 press conference? Looks like we're going to have a loooot more stuff to model from the new game.  Tons of customization and new features, enemies, etc.  Looks incredible!
