G.I. Joe COBRA Temple?
« on: 18 June 2015, 12:36:06 PM »
I was looking for a cheap egyptian or maya pyramid (aquarium decors) and a cobra statue to do a simple G.I. Joe COBRA temple.

Maybe like this:

Wulfgar22 suggested a nice cobra statue in his topic:

Somebody could suggest some nice accessories? Thanks

The Playmobil pyramid would be an impressive size and could look good with some texture added. It's pretty modular and the sides come off, which would allow to build out the interior as well. There is one big downside though (aside from pricetag, but ebay has some cheap ones) and that is that it only comes with 3 side panels, leaving one side open, so you'd have to look for a 4th pannel on ebay or such to complete it.

Yes I yet know the playmobil pyramid, but the price is too much. I do not want to spend more than 15 euro.

I was considering these two:

size 14-14-11

Not an huge cobra temple, just a small outpost.

I was considering to use the temple of set by scotia grendel:

Have you thought about either cake or sandcastle molds, might be something useful in that range that's affordable

something like this perhaps:

I have one of those Myan Pyramids I looks really nice with my 15mm figures. A little small for 25-28mm though. I have some undercoats of paint on it, going to ad some texture and more paint.

You could probably use that as a mould and fill it with papier-mâché for a carvable lightweight cast.

That Playmobil piece really is gorgeous--shame about the fourth side and the price.

The Monolith also looks good. Several years ago they were having some real customer service issues, however, so some caution might be advisable in ordering from them.

I've been wanting to make a pyramid for our Pulp Alley Egypt campaign. That Playmobil piece looks interesting. Thanks for sharing.  :D
