scratch built inn
« on: June 28, 2015, 03:07:38 AM »
Hi all...been a while since I posted last, but life has a way of throwing ya some interesting curves...anyway, I'm back with the latest project in my medieval/fantasy themed village.
I have built a coaching inn...the usual materials include cardboard, foam core, crafting sticks.
The inn has a tavern, stables and sleeping quarters on the second floor.
I still have to add a few little details like the inn's sign, some straw and hay in the stables, and various odd bits of furniture like stools and bedroom trunks, door handles and such.

Fantastic. Using coloured paper for those simple beds is great.
Below is a link to my blog. It's the place where I write uninteresting things about little toy soldiers. I do this because I refuse to grow up and behave like an adult.

Thank you all!!!...I still have a little bit more to finish, but I think it turned out well...
the beds were fun...once i got them all cut down and put together I used a "wipe-all"(very heavy paper towel) and painted a few different colors and "made up" the beds in different stages of use.
Maybe I'll go for a black smith's house or a few smaller peasant style one/two room units....for now, though I think some industrial terrain is in order...storage tanks and bunkers maybe?
Any suggestions?

I think that it looks great, and there's loads of details in there  :-* ...

.... However I'm not entirely sure about the internal toilets :P ...

lol...Thanx Admiral Alder,
I was toying with putting in some "drinking straw pipes" to carry away the waste...they would exit the building just behind the toilets and end in a barrel on the ground outside the stable area...just another detail I have just not worked out yet! lol
