Oh sure. Everybody's in favor of saving Hitler's brain, but when you put it in the body of a Great White Shark, ooh, suddenly you've gone too far

That would also be great for Warhammer Quest! I had aspirations of making a modular dungeon for that too. Hope it goes well!

After just a Year of "Meh, not in the Mood" we continued the Dungeon Project:

First Change: I layed a new Battlegrid with white pointy Dots over the far too big Baseplatesgrid:

Second: I gave it a little more Color with some GW Washes and some Noch "Grass" (which is in Fact just green Crumbs)

The wash and vegetation really bring this to life. Before those were added I wasn't too sure if I liked it, but now it's fantastic!

Great job  :D

A am afraid I have to say that this is not advisable if you want your constructions to last. Ordinary plaster of paris crumbles very easily. I'd recommend anyone to use dental plaster.

do you have any name? I was looking for it but I only found some ceramic plaster... the dentistic one is pretty hard to find, where I look for it... and what about the price? how much should be for 1 Kg? :)

I know or better heard of that, but at the beginning it just had been a "Lets test a bit and evtl. do a Prototype". And you know how "just a Prototype" works.
On the other Hand: I plated it with serveral thick Layers of Varnish and so far there had been no Problem with that

Looks great and I am a touch jealous. Firstly because it looks the part and secondly because I know you've done it already and if I want one I'd have to do it myself, which due to a shortage of time currently means I'l have to wait a while before considering it.

I've been discussing the Hirst moulds with Revford this week and the pros and cons of using them as opposed to other building materials, (we've been working in foamboard this week for the most part) - The biggest con of course was me suggesting I should make a ziggurat that you could climb up before finding the secret entrance and exploring the interior.

Not sure if you can find this where you're at, but I use Merlin's Magic, which is a strong plaster. You might also try looking for something called Cadstone. Not completely sure if I've got the spelling right. I would suggest checking out the following webpage on Bruce Hirst's site. Hirst Arts Casting Page

As others have said, you want to use a strong plaster if you want your castings to last.
