Some Corner Of A Foreign Field - Modern Afghanistan AAR
« on: 29 June 2015, 05:07:11 AM »
This seems to be the most appropriate forum for modern (I know this is post 2000 ... but this isn't a "future war" either) ... so taking a stab at it here.

Played my first game of SCoaFF today with great results --- I really like the rules and how they provide a nice feel for irregular warfare.  Pictures and batrep up on my blog:  http://jayswargamingmadness.blogspot.com/2015/06/some-corner-of-foreign-field-modern.html

Excellent looking table and figures  :-*

I just noticed the question on where to get the rules. Well Empress liked them so much we recently bought the rights to them and are currently, amongst lots of other fun things, working on them.  ;)

They will be released by the end of this month in their current format and we will be doing lots of add on sections including vehicles as the years go on.

Cheers,
Paul

Lol, I figured you would like the minis ;-)  That is outstanding news ... looks like you can still get the rules as part of the "two pager" bundle ... but I'm excited to see how Empress expands them ... we are also working on Russians and Americans in a modern European setting as well :-)

Excellent. We plan to keep the two page set as they are great rules as they are and quick but well done. All credit to the author, Matt Moran, for this success.

However we are now working backwards to expand the rules to cover lots more, such as vehicles, and aim them at more generic modern warfare as opposed to many sets that focus on one type or theater of operations.

If you or any one else for that matter have any suggestions, ideas, needs,( relating to the rules of course,) then drop us a line at Empress.

Cheers,
Paul
