You can't keep a good project down! And so I return to you now, at the turn of the tide...

No, wait. Wrong Wizard.

This one is from Zealot Miniatures, and I've painted him in the classic HeroQuest Wizard colours. He's older and wiser, but still looking for Morcar  lol

Great paintjob. I especially like the FH stars and moon, and how the staff turns silver/icy towards its tip.

This is a lovely idea, perfect choice of model and an unrivaled paintjob - excellent work all around, Sir!

Many thanks you guys. I've been struggling to find a Wizard that I really like for this project, but that Zealot kickstarter guy really does the trick.

Been busy of late, and finally got some paint on that Pit Fighter conversion I showed pages ago...

This is a Warhammer Underworlds model, with a flail taken from a plastic Empire Flagellant, and a head from an old late-90s Chaos Marauder. The chain on that flail is a little chonky, but otherwise I think he's a good substitute. Mind you, he is gigantic! Talk about scale creep in the newer GW figures...

EDIT: For reference, he's the only one of my heroes on a 30mm base instead of 25mm. GIGANTOR!

Let's get back to those Chaos champions, shall we?

The Khorne Flesh Hound mutant champion was always one of my faves - although in hindsight he does kinda look more like a cat than a hound...

Took a while to find a shield I liked. This is from a slightly later plastic Chaos shield sprue.

I always thought that was some kind of Chaos Skaven champion?  It clearly isn't because it has hooves of course, lol  Cool miniature and great paintjob as always.

Yep, definitely a Khorne boi. You can tell by the fancy chin-frills. Nothing screams BLOOD FOR THE BLOOD GOD quite like fancy chin-frills.

Clearly, someone has hit me over the head with a Nostalgia stick lately, because I just can't stop...  lol

Behold, this Talisman Chaos Sorcerer, who is somehow simultaneously awful *and* lovely.

Lovely work on the Plastic fantastic Chaos Sorcerer!

There's something really pleasing about painting the old monopose plastics.
