I wasn't quite sure which Chaos God this guy worshipped at first - he seems to come from the age of "Chaos in all its forms" miniatures. Despite his sylph-like figure, I settled on Khorne, due to the bones and massive sword.

I've got a 1996 Citadel catalogue that lists it as code 8527D "Champions of Tzeentch", but I believe the model was first produced a bit earlier, late 1980s, so maybe the 1996 designation is just a rename.  The metal slot on its base just says "Chaos Champion".  Could definitely pass as Khorney (!), and that's a very nice paintjob you've got on it.

Interesting. Definitely not getting Tzeentch vibes from it, but back then the lines were much more blurred.

It is indeed shown as a Tzeentch champion exactly as stated above.

This thread is absolutely jam-packed with beautiful minis. Excellent work!
Regarding the champion; in ’89 it was listed as champion of Khorne. Maybe Tzeentch offered better fringe benefits? :D

Ha!  Look at that!  Honestly, I thought this fellow's horns/crest (?) looked at least vaguely like Khorne's rune, not to mention all the bones, so I was surprised when I saw it listed in my '96 catalogue as a champion of Tzeentch.

Phew! My existential crisis about repainting is now over. If even GW got mixed up, I can take my pick  lol

Anyway, this latest one is definitely Tzeentch!

He'll serve dual purpose in the game as a Tzeentch Champion, or a Sorcerer on foot. In his Sorcerer role, he'll have a little familiar (no in-game effect in WHQ, but I guess I can use him as a spell effect token if needed).

Both together. ("This way, tiny scrollbearer!")

Very nice!  That moon-face guy is one of my favorites from that era of Citadel miniatures (J. Goodwin sculpt?), and I painted it in much the same color scheme as yours, and put him on one of those flying discs.

I’ve work on “Old Six Fingers” there. Nice model, right up there with all the classic Chaos models. You’ve done him justice! 8)

Thanks for the kind words everyone. I tip my pointy hood at you all.

So oddly, I was just packing away my figures after a game, and I realised there's a (fairly) recent model that I don't believe I've photographed for the project log. He's one of my absolute favourites though, so I've quickly rectified the situation.

Presenting, the Dread King himself, and the Grimoire Necris!

Some of you may recall that I purchased an Otherworld Minis Liche ages and ages ago to fill this role. Unfortunately, just as I was about to paint it, his staff snapped off, and it was the fiddliest bit of metal ever, and even my 0.3mm drill bit couldn't fix it. So I rooted around in the attic and couldn't believe my luck that I had all the pieces to build this absolute classic miniature from Catacombs of Terror. With the exception of his slightly goofy feet in the air because he's too short for his throne, I love him!

Anyhoo, time for your close-up, Dr. Phibes:

And the Dread Throne:
