A WW1 1/2400 Deathmatch - GHQ vs WTJ

Evening All,

I've just finished some more 1/2400 WW1 Naval stuff including some samples from WTJ, so I thought I would have a bit of fun and square the two brands off against each other.

Based on look, price, durablity etc lets have your preference. I will count all the votes in the various places this is posted and then announce a winner at the end of the month. Just put WTJ or GHQ.

Regards, Ken

I couldn't respond on your site as I don't have google+, but I have a firm preference for GHQ  :-*

https://greatwaratsea.wordpress.com - some pics of my ships and such.

Also, I am aware of one HMS Otranto but the model isn't very nice from what I have seen (not GHQ or other big names)

Cheers Grant, preference noted. Oddly I was looking at your blog and the Coronel post only a couple of days ago. Real shame about the Otranto, think it would sell well if one was made.

Funny!

Terrific work on your ships, by the way. I wouldn't worry about the masting; I haven't had any of mine break off during gameplay.

Cheers

WTJ

Most of my collection in 1:2400 is C-in-C (got a deal on somebody else's collection), but there's also Panzerschiffe, GHQ, Viking Forge, and WTJ.

If I was starting over, I'd buy WTJ. Don't want to glue little bits together. Don't want to pay high GHQ prices for metal and hassle. The WTJ models look fantastic. No need to worry about the molds getting old with 3d printers either.

Hi warrenbruhn,

I think the big recent GHQ price rise (about 20 - 25%) in the UK will "force"my hand down the WTJ route, not that it needs much forcing, as you say the WTJ stuff is great.

Regards, Ken
